I warmly welcome you to the official website of the Embassy of the United Republic of Tanzania to the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The Embassy covers both Bilateral and Multilateral issues. At the bilateral level the Embassy is accredited to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, which consists of four autonomous countries: The Netherlands, Aruba, Curaçao and St. Marteen, the latter three of which are located in the Caribbean.

At the multilateral level the Embassy is accredited to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), Common Fund for Commodities (CFC), International Court of Justice (ICJ), International Criminal Court (ICC), and other international legal institutions based in the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

The Embassy is committed to strengthen and boost bilateral and multilateral relations. Since Tanzania’s current vision is the implementation of Economic Diplomacy as the main drive of her Foreign Policy, the Embassy is charged with the responsibility of promoting Tanzania as one of the best investment, tourism, as well as business destination. The Embassy is similarly charged with the duty to interact with Tanzanian citizens in the Netherlands (Students and Diaspora) in pursuance of this vision for their betterment and that of the country as a whole.

Tanzania has been a peaceful and stable country since attaining independence (1961), a message of hope to prospective investors, trade partners, friends and visitors from all over the world. Tanzania is also home to three renowned tourism destinations – Africa’s highest mountain: Kilimanjaro, the exotic Zanzibar island, and more than sixteen (16) wildlife-rich national parks namely, the Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti, Tarangire, Arusha, Selous and many more. Indeed Tanzania is blessed with abundant natural resources and very attractive lakes and rivers. Apart from wealth in wildlife land, agriculture and forestry, Tanzania is also very rich in minerals such as tanzanite, diamond, gold, iron, coal, nickel, uranium, oil and natural gas.

It is my anticipated hope that this website offers you a window of opportunity to better understand our country, Tanzania, famously referred to as “THE LAND OF KILIMANJARO”.

You are most welcome to visit Tanzania,

You are most welcome to partner with Tanzania.
